77.8% of Floyd County residents old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 36,127 citizens living in Floyd County in 2021, 77.8% were old enough to vote, equating to 28,098 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 13,468 were male, constituting 47.9%, and 14,630 were female, making up 52.1%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Floyd County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 77.3%.
